I'm sure some of you remember this bad boy:

The Commodore 64 was my first "serious" computer...
Oh, man. I've been away from here for quite a while, and something made me curious about what's new, so I stopped by. I'm so sorry to hear about Bill. He was such a fount of information, and I...
Thanks for the info, Craig. When you say "And SAW has always been happier with single or dual processors", can you elaborate? From what I understand, the worst that happens with extra CPUs is that...
Got it. Thanks guys.
Hey Craig. Number of tracks varies; anywhere from 10 to 30ish.
Uh-oh. Well, it's a done deal. What is it about that config that's problematic?
You should be doing this no matter what drive...
Damn. He was a real innovator and an early inspiration to me. Gone way too soon. :(
Hi SAWyers! Long time no see.
I have a new system and am wondering what the current wisdom is on recording tracks to a 2nd drive. Over the years, most advice I've seen on the matter says to record...
Hey Carlos,
I swear I've seen/heard this before quite a while ago, but I see the date it was added was just a few days ago. Did you post this somewhere else a while ago, or is my memory playing...
Whoa... Jeff, was Henry held back a few years? ;) Amazing if this kid is 13 years old. I'm most impressed by the lyrics -- surprisingly mature for a 7th-grader. Thanks for sharing.

Tried it just now on the demo; looks like the problem is with the version. Installed the demo on the same machine as 3.9n, and the demo exhibits the problematic behavior.
Jay
The issue must either be with the SS version or specific user configurations. I can't duplicate this behavior even when I try. I'm still on 3.9n.

Hi Spring,
Just wanna add, FWIW, that I was a Pro user as well, but after upgrading to Studio, I can't imagine going back. There were some nice things in Pro, one or two of which I miss, but...
I know that Clear Channel's tentacles extend over and through most of the US, but you had me thinking they had now somehow found a way of controlling what DAWs do!
Can't recall the cursor ever doing anything unusual with F Keys, Dave. When you say "jumps", what exactly is happening?
Jay
Just gonna anticipate a possible question you might have, Carlos. Bob is referring to the fact that you have to disable the VSTi to hear what's recorded on the same track. Coincidentally, a couple of...
Gnom, you'll really wanna familiarize yourself with F Keys. They almost negate the need for doing things like Page Up/Down for track height. I have several F Keys set up for different track heights...
Correct.
Hi ivanoff,
I won't try to respond in French -- je suis trop rouille. :)
The effects work in the order in which they appear from top to bottom. So if the compressor appears at the top, it's...
... or any other output you choose. Just make sure the last output in the chain points to output 1.
Thanks!
Can anyone post some screen shots for the uninitiated (e.g., me)?
Jay
Ira, you're actually talking about compression, not normalization. Reread Stephen's explanation. Note the difference is that normalizing affects all levels equally. You said you want loud parts down...
