  1. Re: Export Tracks to Soundfiles with Processing ??

Speaking of which... is there no method (straight-forward or otherwise) to force stuff that's gotten lost off-screen back on-screen? What about temporarily changing the F-key file? Or your windows...
  2. Re: Export Tracks to Soundfiles with Processing ??

Ah. Speaking of dropping markers, have you looked at the Control Track? :-). One approach is to keep the Control Track at the top of your multitrack layout, so you will usually see it.

Re: OT - Noise cancelling headphones

I would think anything would work, so long as you're not mixing or EQing or doing any critical adjustments like that. When I have to mute the speakers cuz my wife's around, I'll go to an old pair of...
  4. Re: Export Tracks to Soundfiles with Processing ??

Cool to be reminded of the shift-click feature. But what does the above mean? I'm not following.
  5. Re: Export Tracks to Soundfiles with Processing ??

For the box I built in 2011, I remember searching for a mobo with three PCI slots. PCIe had at that point overtaken the older format. For the box I built at the start of this year, I came across a...
  6. Re: Export Tracks to Soundfiles with Processing ??

Actually (and this may make a difference in whether or not it's worth the effort), what am I thinking? You don't have to return everything back to how it was with the output settings. Just close the...
  7. Re: Export Tracks to Soundfiles with Processing ??

LOL, as the kids say. :D
  8. Re: OT - 9 volt Batteries and Musical Devices

As someone who has fried a Beyer ribbon (as well as possessing qualifications as a dim-witted guitar player), I feel your pain, Angie. :p

    Re: Saw Studio reverb

I think it's safe to say that Bob has discontinued development of his reverb, but it's still usable/available in/for SAW32. However, there was no porting of it to SAW64 that I know of.
  10. Re: Export Tracks to Soundfiles with Processing ??

It might be more trouble than it's worth, but I've always been intrigued by the idea of setting up the separate outputs as suggested in this thread in order to render all the various tracks'...

    OT: Isn't It Ironic?

Melodyne 5 promotional video opens talking about sibilance detection with a voice-over that is, yeah, pretty sibilant. And not on purpose. :D

    Then there's this:

Microsoft says Windows 11 LTSC is still years away
  13. Re: OT - 9 volt Batteries and Musical Devices

New idea: phantom power over your guitar cord. Enough of this voltage and discharge curve tomfoolery.

SomebodyŚmake it happen! Maybe you'll end up a millionaire in the process. But the best part...

Re: M keyboard shortcut in MT?

Only if you're caching region data, and the number of regions can't be supported by your system's RAM capacity, I'd think. Even then, though, how bad could it be?

    Re: Region Amount Limitations

Just spit-ballin', here, but I'd think you could go into the thousands before noticing anything. And even then, I'm not so sure you would.

Now, if you're caching region audio data, it's likely a...

Re: M keyboard shortcut in MT?

Huh? Can you try R again, Carl? I'm watching my region count (title bar of the regions window) as I repeatedly hit the R key, lopping off chunks of a region entry in the MT over and over, and the...

Re: M keyboard shortcut in MT?

You may want to return to R and alt-R when you're not sure if U will do what you want. That's what I do. I just tried it out and saw no new regions being created with the use of the R key. Can you...

Well, if you saw it on the Internet... ;)

Any Latinos on the forum who can explain this one for us? (sorry)

Re: M keyboard shortcut in MT?

One application I can think of is when editing a voice-over and wanting to take out all the breaths (which I do a lot, actually). That said, it's actually quicker to just do U or R every other edit,...
  22. Re: SAW 32 bit compatibility with Win 10 64 bit

    Hi Bud,

    It's probably your computer. I jest. ;)

I've been running SS32 alongside SS64 for a while, now. No issues, so long as they're not open at the same time. And even then, I think the only...

Then the burden is on you, sir, to explain the difference in meaning between that and the phrase we've all heard.

    Re: OT: Buffer Settings

Interesting that you save on latency when the setting is half the buffer size and double the buffers. I woulda thunk the latency wouldn't change.

Re: M keyboard shortcut in MT?

Yes, if, as with other region split commands do now, you add ctrl to the key combo (i.e. ctrl-M), in which case it will work across all tracks. Note, also, that M responds to selected tracks while...
