  1. Re: Please post examples of advanced or extreme scene usage.

I don't do anything really exotic with Scenes as my needs are not that extreme. I do musicals with SAC and typically create around 150 or more scenes for each musical, with most being microphone...

Re: SAC (and Plugins) 64 Bit Version Bug Reports

Mike, make sure your sample rate setting in SAC matches your sample rate on your RME card AND your ADA unit. As I recall the ADA unit sample rate tops out at 48kHz.
  3. Re: Advice on setting up a Band in a corner stage

In my opinion people notice sync issues with higher frequencies much more than with very low frequencies, so I would delay the FOH Main speakers to the drums. It might be only a few milliseconds but...

Re: QU32 A&H AND SAW STUDIO

I own an Allen&Heath Qu16 and have used it for live recordings. I just use the Qu Drive interface USB-A port directly for the recording. A 64Gb USB stick worked perfectly for 18 tracks in just...

    Re: Long time, no see....

Distributed speakers is definitely the way to go. Get an app on your phone for calculating delay times, pull out your tape measure, measure the distance between the mains and delay speakers and set...

Re: 16 in 8 out remote peamps Digital snake

Matt, can you elaborate? What, specifically, did you do? I'm carting around 32 channels of preamps in a rack with a 3ru PC. It's heavy and I'm getting tired of lugging it around, so I'm interested...

    Re: OT: Current Motherboard Recommendations

Recently I had an old motherboard die on an XP SAC setup. I rebuilt the system using an ASUS M5A78L-M USB3 motherboard. The system has an AMD processor with 6 cores. I have an RME HDSP 9652 PCI...

    Re: Sudden sync issues??

I have a similar setup with two Digi cards and I have Card 1 as the master with Non-Audio selected as the SPDIF Out selection. But if you take a look at card 2 it is seeing and locking to the sync...

    Re: Scenes

Butch is correct. You must be in the correct scene and have that scene highlighted in the Scenes Window. Then make your change and choose each and every channel that is already changed by that...

    Re: Subgroup Name propagation

I too think that method works best for a busy show with little tech time.

    Re: Subgroup Name propagation

My scenes mainly control fader levels and mutes. EQ, routing and channel labels are left alone, with the occasional exception of a channel label changing with a mic swap.
Since I do the same show...

    Re: Subgroup Name propagation

I do musicals all the time with my SAC rig. In my case it is the same show with the same script but different cast members each week - it's an after-school theater program at 16 different school....

Since the site claims that the software will allow audio monitoring of any device on the Dante Via network, I wonder if this application will then allow headphone monitoring of the solo bus on a...

Re: Anybody doing any Political stuff with SAC

I've been doing local, county and statewide political events using SAC for years now. I've found the frequency analyzer plug-in to be a very hand tool for EQing lectern mics in less than ideal...

I too must agree with Ira that this deserves attention and scrutiny. A simple, unintentional misstatement about this could lead to someone getting the wrong impression and purchasing the wrong piece...
