Dave,
I think I sent you a PM regarding the RAYDAT. If its not there, let me know and I'll try again.

Thanks Phillip, all good information. I think I'm leaning toward the RayDat now. Not sure if I will need word clock: and if I do, I can always add to the RayDat.

Thanks Dave. what are you asking for it? Sweetwater has them for $950. I guess this is considered an upgrade from the 9652 because of the PCIe?? And 8 more channels of i/o ?? Do you think its a...
Hey gang.
Are we still in love with the RME 9652? Going to be upgrading soon so I can do some music recording. (for years I've been doing only sound design for film post on SAW) therefore, I didn't...
When trying to record anything, I keep getting a warning:
Source Buffer UnderRun... Source Data
Not retrieved Fast Enough!
{Left-Click to continue}
Any thoughts as to what my next step should...
Thanks Ian, good point. The headphone amp was causing the offset. I ended up just recording offline and importing via SD card. A little bit more cumbersome, but solved the off set problem.

I'm having an issue with DC offset while bringing in some audio into SAWSTUDIO through a Zoom H4n headphone output, using it as a quicky mic/preamp for some ADR.
Its inducing a pretty nasty DC...
Ok, it's all good. SAW was acting perfect - of course, and I have awarded myself the "Idiot of the Day" award. It was complicated, but embarrassing.
Rechecked it on my TV soundbar system after...
Thanks guys, I always forget just how many ways in SAW there are to fix things. I'll double check to see if I did something funky by mistake. I did do some automated reverse phase on a boom track...
Yes, Michael, agreed about the sound card issue. I know its not the wiring of the monitors, I've checked that out extensively and the clincher is the rendered files showing up "backwards". ...
Greetings, so very helpful SAW World folks. This forum is the best. I ALWAYS find the answer here.
The issue: Working on a feature film sound design project. I've been doing some pans on FX...

Thanks mucho. Looks like I'm good to go. Just reset the F keys one by one as I redesigned them and then saved as the new default.
Being away for so long, I'm very rusty on some of the...
Ok, I think this is a simple one: Just installed a new SAWSTUDIO on a Win 10 Pro OS. I think everything is working ok.
Was getting everything set up on an older square monitor, then moved into the...
UPDATE:
Using River Past Video Cleaner 7.8 I selected "use source time code" instead of selecting a target TC of 23.98 and 12 hours later I got a locked and synced picture.
So, Mp4 of 23.98 to AVI...
YAY
I love you guys. Sure enough, I was not saving as the default. I haven't been on the system in a while and my chops get rusty.
@Bob. I did a clean install on a new system that had been wiped...
Howdy gang, I'm back in the saddle after a new install and new(ish) computer etc.
Went to Win 10 Pro and did all the tweaks I think I could (SAW etc) I think I'm ok in that regard, but it seems that...
Exactly. Looks like OMF and AAF are not actual standard protocols and a bit of a moving target. I've never had to really work with them, but it looks like AATranslator works with Grass Valley and...
Thanks Stashu and Runaway. The picture editor is using Edius made by Grass Valley which allows him to edit in 4K picture files with no rendering time. I went in the other day to discuss the post...
I have a film post project coming up that will require me to import polyfiles from the original production sound. The polyfiles were brought into a picture edit system then will be sent to me after...
building a new rig, mostly sound for picture. I'll need at least 8 out for my surround mix deliveries to discrete stems. Would like to stick with the internal PCI or PCIe option. Which RME product...
Thanks for the input guys. @Runaway - what I meant by "audition" is that I've seen my production tracks recorded on the 8 channel TASCAM P-82 loaded into a FCP timeline. The editor is able to use a...
Anybody working with polyfiles out there? Getting ready to do some movie post. Gonna need to import my 8 channel polyfiles from TASCAM P-82 production audio. I'll essentially be functioning as a...
Thanks Bob, that's where I'm heading I guess, RME here I come
just finished a 2.0 mix for small indie movie. My system is only a two channel card and I need to create a 2.1 mix for a Digital Cinema Pack (DCP) as three discrete channels L/R/LFE (no AC3...
