    Re: HELP! SawStudio64 not responding

    dbarrow:

That was it!! I was beginning to suspect the anti-virus, but I would have been dumbfounded as to what to do. And I use ESET also! (Actually, I run ESET Smart Security, not NOD32, but...

    Re: HELP! SawStudio64 not responding

Okay, so I installed the latest RME drivers and did a flash update. Set to ASIO. No change.

I booted into Safe Mode, but that was futile, because in Safe Mode the RME drivers don't load. So,...

    Re: HELP! SawStudio64 not responding

    Sorry.

It's Windows 10 version 1803 (updated a year ago). The sound card is an RME HDSPe, set to the analog input/output. SS64 v1_0g (although I tried going back to 1_0f, and that didn't fix...

    HELP! SawStudio64 not responding

All of a sudden, SS 64 is broken. It starts, and I can load a file into the MultiTrack. But it won't play. The 'Play' icon sometimes flashes and stops, sometimes stays engaged, but the MT cursor...

Sticky: Re: SAWStudio (and Plugins) 64 Bit Bug Reports!

    Okay, here's something odd.

If I open SS 64 and import an EDL created in SS 32, it imports fine. Save the session as SS 64.

If I then try to Blend another EDL created in SS 32, I get an...

    Yes. VST version.

  7. Re: thank you! and question on Native plugin 64bit API

I emailed Anwida Support last week, asking if their plug-ins were available in 64-bit versions. They replied that they are not. However, I didn't ask whether they would consider porting them to...

Re: Updating Shades: 32-Bit to 64-Bit!

Would VERY much appreciate getting the Vintage Basic shade in 64-bit.

    Many thanks.

  9. Re: How to save the position of context-driven windows

Thanks, Dave. Good explanation, and I think you're right. It's such a minor annoyance, it's not a big deal.

And using Bob's suggestion is easy enough. So, problem taken care of.

    Thanks to...
  10. Re: How to save the position of context-driven windows

    Paul -
I understand that. My question is, how can I save it to a context window to an F-key file so that it shows up at the same location and size in later sessions. Or is that even possible?

  11. How to save the position of context-driven windows

Here's something I've been wondering about since the advent of SAWStudio.

Contolling the position and layout of most SAWStudio windows is straightforward, and can be saved in an F-key file.

Sticky: Re: SAWStudio (and Plugins) 64 Bit Bug Reports!

Hi, Bob. To test it out, I loaded 64 onto my Alienware laptop, which has Intel graphics video.

You're correct, the progress readout works fine on BuildMix.

But ... when I imported a WAV file...

Sticky: Re: SAWStudio (and Plugins) 64 Bit Bug Reports!

Okay, tried it with a different mono wav file. Fresh session, no plug-ins.

Build Mix happens the same (although faster). (See my previous post - appears to be the same.)

    I also noticed that...

Sticky: Re: SAWStudio (and Plugins) 64 Bit Bug Reports!

Mine was a mono wav source file, building to a mono final.

Two iZotope plug-ins: noise reduction and click elimination. That's all.

BTW, I'm on Windows 10 with 16 gigs of RAM.

Sticky: Re: SAWStudio (and Plugins) 64 Bit Bug Reports!

    Okay, here's a weirdness.

Doing a Build Mix on a mono file. Minor processing. The progress bar gets to about 64%, and the percentage window the same.

Then the progress bar keeps going,...

Sticky: Re: SAWStudio (and Plugins) 64 Bit Bug Reports!

Okay, call me old fashioned ... but I still like the Vintage Basic shade. Maybe because I've used it for so long. Not that the new default shade isn't snazzy ... but I hope 64-bit Vintage Basic...

    Re: X-Keys questions

Michael, might you have a keystroke sequence to return the fader to 0 - simulating the left-right mouse button?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Re: X-Keys questions

I finally tumbled and bought the 24-key X-Keys, primarily to use with SAW Studio. But I'm stymied as to how to create a key macro that will increase/decreased the fader in the Z-mixer. MMP's post of...

Many thanks, everybody. Looks like Izotope RX will work best for this. Not perfect, but then I guess northing else is either.

How to reduce (or eliminate) echo/reverb

Hi, all. I recorded a number of interviews with an elderly man in the only room available, which was very live. The resulting tracks have lots of echo/reverb. Is there a way to minimize or even...

    Re: OT recommended audio player?

I've used XM Player for years, and very happy with it. Small, lots of skins, and can play just about any format either native or with plug-ins.

Re: How to install WAVES plug-ins

Thanks, folks. I followed Phillipe's steps, and everything seemed to work fine. All the plug-ins are functional.

Didn't try the others, since Phillipe's worked, and I didn't want to monkey with...
