  1. Sticky: Re: SAWStudio (and Plugins) 64 Bit Bug Reports!

    Indeed.
  2. Sticky: Re: SAWStudio (and Plugins) 64 Bit Bug Reports!

This assumes identical starting conditions. Not necessarily tested till we try Micro's EDL.
  3. Sticky: Re: SAWStudio (and Plugins) 64 Bit Bug Reports!

    1) can you give us the EDL, too?

    2) remember way early in SAW's development there were selection issues like the related to screen refresh rate? What are your screen settings? If you move slower...

    Re: Melodyne users notice...

Michael -- what version of Melodyne do you have? Can you stop playback when in Live Mode? I cannot on ver. 1.2.1.

    Re: Melodyne users notice...

Bob -- do you mean hearing the results of adjusted notes when the playback cursor reaches them? I'm talking about being able to grab a note blob and change its pitch by dragging it vertically, and...

    Re: Melodyne users notice...

How 'bout if you assign a live input? ;)

Select one of your hardware inputs as Input Source at the top of a mixer channel strip. Funky workaround in this context, but that's how I get SAW into...

    Re: Melodyne users notice...

Does anyone know if we can move notes around in the VST in SAW and hear them (no doubt in live mode, if at all) -- like in the stand-alone program?
  9. Re: "Mix" parameter on channel compressor and/or Levelizer

Not great for SAC I guess, but UAD's Precision Maximizer and Buss Compressor each have a mix knob.

The free TDR Nova Multiband EQ/compressor has a mix knob. It's pretty low latency, I think.

    Re: SAWStudio64 shades

That's awful nice of you, Dell. Would it be worth the effort to post them on your download page for all concerned? If not, I'd be happy to receive the ZIP here or via email. :D

    Re: SAWStudio64 shades

Sorry to be fussy, but is there a site anywhere where you can see what you're downloading before you download it? You know -- some kind of sample image for each shade?
  12. Re: 64bit Signal Switcher plugin? Plus LACE questions

If you don't mind one-or-two extra clicks, dBpoweramp is still my main MP3 generator (when not using LACE in SAW). It gives you a context menu option to create an MP3 (or pretty much any file type)...
  13. Re: SAWStudio new version release finally cracks Win 7, 8 and 10 performance bogdown.

Super deal! Really appreciate your efforts, Bob!
  14. Re: SAC new version release finally cracks Win 7, 8 and 10 performance bogdown.

Great work, Bob! Thanks so much for staying on this!

    Re: PreSonus StudioLive Series III

Nice. Looks like you have a few wires under there. And if you've lost a pair of AGK cans, I think I found 'em. ;)
  16. Re: FREE!!!! Amazing PC Plugin For VST's!

Link not working for me, Dell. FYI.

    UPDATE: it's working now.

Re: SOT: SAC and "No G.A.S."

Actually, I thought the pickups didn't sound so awful on this. My guess is that fingerpicking is more forgiving on piezos than pick picking (or maybe the modeling box is taking the "quawk" out)....

Re: SOT: SAC and "No G.A.S."

I agree with everything you say, here, John. I bet that most recording/reinforcement engineers aren't even trying to represent the sound of an acoustic guitar accurately; I bet they're just trying to...

Re: SOT: SAC and "No G.A.S."

Not sure if I can put in words what I hear in a DI that makes it different (and less natural and musical) than a mic'd recording. It's something about the attack, I think. It just doesn't sound...

Re: SOT: SAC and "No G.A.S."

Really great performance and recording, for sure. I hear some DI in there, too. That would be the only thing that bothers me about the recording. I almost never like the sound of guitar DI. Based on...

    Re: SOT: "My Story"

Sound File View was always its own thing, IIRC.

Sequence view, IIRC, simply showed the sequence of MT region entries in order, along with control entries you could insert. It showed the sequence...
