Re: How to use VST3s in SAW Studio

I believe the juice plug-ins work fine in saw studio, but have a problem in SAC when using scenes. so it would only be the subset of users that are making use of scenes and trying to make changes to...

    Re: OT: Piezo Pickups

She is wearing a lav mic, and again I'm 100% positive the input from the sampling mic is gated by the input from the guitar, otherwise it would be adding all sorts of unneeded and unwanted data to...

    Re: OT: Piezo Pickups

Most likely because she is not playing the guitar while she is talking. Since there is no direct guitar input there is nothing to match the mic input to and it simply gets thrown away or not recorded.

    Re: "j-bridged" plugins

Keep your 32-bit sessions and 64-bit sessions separate.

There is no reason to load all of your 32-bit and 64-bit VSTs in both versions of SAW Studio.

The 32-bit version of Saw Studio should...

Open source means its not dependent on the original developer.

Just have to find somebody interested in contributing. As for the brush off from the original developer, that is of coarse...

    Re: OT: JUCE!

So one of the things that should be considered, Juce is an open source library. Meaning it could be patched to fix the issue in SAC/SAW.

That would be the most useful approach with the added...

Re: SAWStudio, Crossover, and MacBook Pro M1

from the digging I've done on this over the last couple of days, its specifically an Apple Silicon/Arm processor vs intel issue.

You have to install win10/win11 Arm on the virtual machine...

Re: SAWStudio, Crossover, and MacBook Pro M1

looks like this maybe a win11/parallels specific issue. Not 100% sure if win10 would work or not, as the references didn't address that specifically, just that win10 was working (But it didn't...

Re: SAWStudio, Crossover, and MacBook Pro M1

Parallels 13? are you sure. They are on release 19 and I don't believe anything older than 17 or 18 would even install on an Arm-based Mac.

Your interface needs to be plugged in after your VM is...

What version of parallels are you using?

You do have to launch parallels and then plug in your interface so you can tell parallels which system to connect the interface to

Re: SAWStudio, Crossover, and MacBook Pro M1

I haven't had any issues with parallels seeing my interfaces. If they show up on your mac, they should be available to Windows under Parallels.

You do have to configure parallels to tell it how to...

Re: SAWStudio, Crossover, and MacBook Pro M1

You have to explicitly hold down the fn key get to the function keys on the Mac Keyboard to work, or alternatively hook up an external PC keyboard.

There is also a system setting that has to be...

    Don't overthink this.

I use a Dell 30" 2k monitor WQXGA (2560 x 1600). It's not massive, but the extra screen real-estate over an HD 1080p display is very useful.
