Re: Is anyone using SS for ambisonics?

They would function in SS exactly like they would in any other DAW. plug in the individual mic channels to separate channels in SS and then to process the audio, insert the relevant plug-in. You...
  2. Re: Opening (Converting) 32bit EDL to 64bit SawStudio

You can simple open the 32bit EDL in Saw64. I don't remember exactly what it says about missing plugins (but I believe it just gives a warning). Then you can go about swapping/replacing effects or...
  3. Re: SAC Remote - Host Not Found - when using name of host

    Unfortunately that wasn't it. :(

Since I can connect with the IP address, I'm not going to spend anymore time on this. It's all likely to change once I upgrade and move my host system to Win10...
  4. Re: SAC Remote - Host Not Found - when using name of host

Thought it might be related to Network Discovery settings, but thats not it.

All the tablets are running Win10 Pro, but the one tablet with the issue is on a newer release of windows (22h...
  5. SAC Remote - Host Not Found - when using name of host

Ok, I had some downtime and wanted to make sure all 4 of the surface tablets would connect to my live rig.

I had a few mismatched software revs between 4.6x and 4.7.

So I updated the SAC system...

    Re: VST Plugins 2024

    Re: VST Plugins 2024

I'll have to take a look at what's loaded on my live rig. It might be helpful to know what sorts of plugins your looking for and how you would want to deploy them.

    Re: VST Plugins 2024

    Hey Ruben,

    Welcome to the forum.

Use of JUCE does not mean the VSTs are unstable for all use cases, only that it doesn't play nice with Scenes.

So depending on how you use the VSTs in...
  9. Re: HELP! - Suddenly No Audio Output in SAW64 (But OK in SAW32 and VLC)

Ok... sorry maybe I'm not understanding something in your configuration..... BUT. .if you are using SAW and SAC together, SAC does in fact supersede SAW Studios Audio Inputs and Outputs. You...

    Re: RmL Labs Store

Had to go back and re-read Bob's paper on the audio engine choices he made. It was linked in a post earlier in this thread, but reposted here for easy access.

    It wasn't specifically floating point...

    Re: RmL Labs Store

Actually my understanding is it had more to do with the rounding errors that occur in floating point processors that could be eliminated/controlled by using integer math instead.
  12. Re: Is there any open source control template for sac?

    short answer is no.

In order to do build a fully custom interface build you would need an API which has been discussed at great length over the years, but Bob has not supplied as of yet.

    Not...
  13. Re: Is there any open source control template for sac?

you can lock SAC remote instances to specific channels and mixers

Forget about trying to control all the channel parameters with knobs, you really only need faders and mutes (everything else can...

Re: RME Fireface 800 on Win 7 mic level problems

    Hi Paul

gain on the mic input is too high, your operating in the red. Lower it so your peaks are close to or just a little over zero. When you talk about a healthy signal, you seem to be applying...

    Re: SOT: Nvidia Video Cards

the SAC audio engine is functionally single threaded, so yes the faster CPU should process audio packets faster and reducing CPU load.

In your particular use case, low channel counts, low mixer...

    Re: SOT: Nvidia Video Cards

The P53 is about 25% faster single-threaded, but a little bit slower CPU mark (about 10% slower). It however is way more power efficient at 15W TDP instead of 45W.

    So battery life has the...

I wouldn't be concerned about video card issues, both laptops support native intel graphics so if for some reason you had some sort of issue with the nvidia card you could opt to use the native CPU...

    Re: About VST3 ?

Yes ducking is used in live sound and that is what SAC is for.

The reality is that Saw Studio is way more powerful with SAC as the front end. It's really more of an integrated companion product...

    Re: About VST3 ?

You do know you can record the master outputs in SAW. There really is no need to go to another external recorder.

As for the KEY not working, it appears that may be a bug, but you'll have to wait...

Pretty sure you will have to be running SAW in live mode to make that work. If you aren't running in Live mode, why exactly would you be trying to key from a live input?
