Re: Presonus FaderPort: Still no support?

Yes, I am that guy. Resurrecting an old thread.

Has anyone found a way to make the Presonus Faderport work? I made the mistake of getting one (thankfully pretty cheap) before checking the forum.

    Re: Sample rate problem

    That's okay!

It's always better to have too much help than not enough.

Yes, this was the program I was looking for. It somehow disappeared during one of my PC upgrades.

    I was glad to see...

    Re: Sample rate problem

    Thank you, Philip.

This was exactly the problem. I knew it was, I just couldn't find the correct utility to fix it. I changed the header and it works like it's supposed to.

    It is interesting...

    Re: Sample rate problem

I think this is what happened. I used to have a utility by John Marshall Smith (?) called "File Investigator", or something. I can't seem to find it. (To many computer changes.)

    Maybe this will...

    Re: Sample rate problem

    Let me try this again:

The tracks play in Saw. They just play too fast. They play too fast by exactly the ratio between 48k and 44.1k.

    I don't think this is a Saw issue. But, it's still a...

    Re: Sample rate problem

That is what I did with Rx. I converted the 48 files to 44.1. No change. I have the same problem.

    Sample rate problem

It's been a while since I've been here. It's good to see a few familiar names!

    I have a problem.

    This is what I did:
I recorded into SS using my normal rig. RME converters and interfaces. The...

    Re: Side chain vst emulation

I am looking at the Metaplugin Demo. I must be missing something. How are you able to side-chain to a plugin from a different channel?

EDIT: I think I found the key. "Send it" ?

    Re: scanning for dropped samples

This is exactly what I am talking about. It might happen to me once or twice in an 8 hour remote session. Maybe a few times times out of 100 hours of recording. And not on all tracks. Often, it's 2...

    Re: scanning for dropped samples

I do location recording. So, stuff gets bumped around, cables get reconnected, etc. It's not like I could just go through everything, find the minor issue and then stop bothering with it. It's really...

    Re: scanning for dropped samples

I have Rx7, which will fix clicks and pop, etc. But, it also "fixes" things that it shouldn't, if I just let it scan a whole file. I'd rather have something that would scan and flag them.

    Here's...

    scanning for dropped samples

Does anyone know of a program, preferably a plug-in, that will scan for dropped samples? I have RX7, and there's nothing there that I can find.

Short of listening through the entire recording, I...

Re: 32 bit plug-in replacements for move to SS 64

I've had good luck with Brainworx and Plugin Alliance stuff. I'll check these out.

    Thanks,

Re: 32 bit plug-in replacements for move to SS 64

The new (64 bit) versions of Rbass and C4 (now C6) were on sale for $30 each with a buy two get one free deal. So, I'm hoping it's worth a shot. As I normally have to copy/paste the .dll into SS...

Re: 32 bit plug-in replacements for move to SS 64

This is exactly the reason I'm trying to get away from Waves.

If you have any helpful hints about dealing with them. I'd appreciate it.

Re: 32 bit plug-in replacements for move to SS 64

It looks like I can renew my update plan through Waves and get updates to the Waves plug-ins that I have. Most of these were bought on 2004. Has anyone done an update like this?

    I'm wondering if...

Re: 32 bit plug-in replacements for move to SS 64

I still have my 32 bit version of SS. Thankfully, they run like like two different programs. So, I can get by doing that for now. I'm just trying to eventually get completely over to 64.

    I've also...

I'm really trying to avoid Waves these days. Their dongles, subscriptions, etc. are just not something I want to deal with. Rbass is on sale now, I think. I might bite the bullet...

32 bit plug-in replacements for move to SS 64

    Hi all,

It's been a while since I've posted. I mostly just lurk. By the time I read a post, more competent people than myself have already replied. :)

I am moving to SawStudio 64 and a few of...

    insert and ripple ?

Is there an edit option to insert and ripple downstream region(s) as opposed to insert and "overwrite"?

Re: SAC noob questions - sorry

    This is great! Thank you!

I know I've got some testing yet to do, but there are parts of SAC that I really like if I can get it to fit into my workflow.

Re: SAC noob questions - sorry

I thought about that, and I could set up groups, or maybe a scene, to make that easy. I just wanted to check before I did that.

I work with orchestras, big bands, choirs, etc. Normally, I use SS...
