Maybe because SAC doesn't support VST3?
It's getting more and more unlikely that new plugins will be released as VST2 because Steinberg has done all they can to stop developers releasing VST2...
Inf is probably short for infinity. The double o is a simple way to write the symbol for infinity. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinity_symbol
The BCF can only control faders, pans, and mutes.
If you want the BCF to control other parameters I think you'll have to use a Control-template in SAC that allows control of the parameters you...
Yes the output to the solo bus follows the selected mix, so if you select a mix that is setup to be a monitor mix, that's what you'll be hearing.
The only little annoyance i find with the SAC...
Come on guys!
I mean I absolutely love mixing on my SAC rig, but there hasn't been a update to SAC in more than a year, and except for the 64 bit migration, there has not been a new feature...
I guess it depends on how you interpret "software similar to SAC"?
I think that Waves eMotion LV1 is very comparable to SAC:
- It's designed specifically for live audio mixing.
- It supports...
I promised myself I wouldn't throw more money at my SAC rig, but ... I have just built a new PC!
I any of you is considering the same foolishness here's a few things I've learned.
I chose a Intel...
If there is to be a future for SAC - and I hope there is - VST3 support is necessary. Steinberg is pushing all plugin developers to drop VST2 support so we are not going to be able to use new plugins...
Hi Christian
I did look into the chainer option but I was afraid my mixing workflow would be slowed down too much. It's good to know that it can work "in real life". I'll give it a shot!
Just a little update - I was working my way back through the versions, and couldn't get any of them working, but version 10 comes with 32 bit dll's, and they work, so I'm staying with SAC32 for now.
Thank you. That makes sense!
Hi
I would like to use the Waves Tune Real Time plugin and as the current Waves plugins are only 64bit I have installed demo versions of both SAC64 and Waves Tune.
I have used shell2vst64.exe to...
I think they are pretty much equal with regard to stability.
I'm using two RayDat cards and they are rock-solid.
Getting Windows to play nice is the real challenge when it comes to stability.
You can install a Dante card in a Vi1. Se available cards here: https://www.soundcraft.com/en/products/vi-option-cards
If you then also install a Dante PCI card in your SAC pc, your should be able...
I'm using a cheap Icon platform x+ controller.
The faders om the controller are simply more "safe" to use.
I'm still on the 32 bit version of SAC. So I haven't build 64 bit versions of my plugins.
I'm using an Iiyama 22" touch screen. I find that it's possible to use most of the controls on the W and Z mixers, but you have to be pretty precise with your fingers, especially with the faders.
I...
Is anyone actually mixing anything with SAC?
RME's asio driver allows multiple clients.
Split before SAC, same computer.
The sound on the video is a 'post production mix'. I multitrack recorded the concert with Reaper, in parallel with mixing the live sound in SAC. The recorded audio was mixed later (in Protools, I...
I'm sorry, I don't understand your question?
I'm curious to know if anyone here is mixing something interesting with their SAC desk these days?
I mixed this concert https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHDBEkKXmhY last month - a "strange" mix...
It would be to easy if it just worked ... :-)
I currently have at little piece of software, i have written myself, inserted between SAC and my controller. The software blocks certain midi...
