  1. Default Reverb Impulse sets Link

    Hi All

For those of you using a Convolution Reverb, here is a link to some good Impulse sets of higher end hardware units. This is a donationware site

Hey thanks! That is neat. The VSS and the Lexicon look nice!

Supid question... how do you use these? Is there a plugin that'll make use of them?

There are convolution reverb plug-ins that will make use of impulses.
One that I use is SIR. It's freeware and can be found here.
Note - the freeware version is SIR 1. The version for purchase is SIR 2.

I haven't yet used it with SAC.

I have purchased SIR2. It has a setting for 0 Latency. It works quite well.

On the same site as the nice impulse files, there is a link to another convolution reverb that also supposedly have a zero latency mode. I have not tried it out yet, but it's donation ware.

There is also a nicer version that is not donation ware. But it's only about $50, depending on the exchange rate.

I downloaded the donationware one and I'll have to see how well it works with SAC.

Let us know. I'm hesitant to pay the price for SIR2.

I've also been reluctant to shell out for SIR2. So I started playing around with the Liquidsonics Reverberate LE this morning in SAW. So far, I like it. Interesting that the included impulses are Flac files. The only problem I see is not having a reset in the EQ section. But EQing impulses isn't that important to me anyway. I'm downloading the demo of the full version now.

I tried Reverberate LE and it is cool! I used the TC Electronics VSS4 impulses in the zero latency mode and had no issue. It did not put my load up more than a couple percent. I used the Warm Jazz impulse and it was nice. Add the EQ to clean up the low end and VOILA! Instantly nice...
    Best to all!

Well you guys beat me to it. I was just going to say that I tested out Reverberate and it worked very well. And the Link to those Impulse Files is fantastic, those are some of the nicest freebie Impulses I've ever heard.

Of course their ripping off some of the nicest hardware units on the planet, so big shock!
