Default Re: Render AVI causes consistent crash- ideas?

Well... the render to AVI in the viewer is doing a DV format... the picture size has to fit the 720x480 NTSC or the 720x576 PAL size... there is no size conversion in that process loop.

You can use that format to playback and create your sound design, but there is only a way to directly render back in the DV format.

Do your original conversion to a DV format and have the conversion utility create a legit DV size and format avi file... then use that on the timeline and you can render back the audio and video together into the same DV format file.

In most cases, the rendered audio is sent back to the video program for combined audio/viodeo rendering since there are now so many different formats... that gets outside the range of code reserved for the viewer.

Thanks Bob. I usually just mix the audio file and bring it back to the original video or send it to the video house for that part of it.
