    Default 2C-aether reverb now works in SAC

    Hi,
    Just want to say that 2Caudio has updated there Aether reverb to 1.5.
    beside even more detailed reverbs, the big news is 0 latency and right now I
    am singing into my laptop - into SAC - into Aether.

    If you are looking for a super smooth reverb with lot of options for SAC then
    this is it.

    Just a site note, they use a simple s/n doing install, no dongles.

    They will release it the 16 of april, for some reason all who already own it got a download link today.

    Thanks Sebastian. I bet it sounds great. Could they have made the GUI any uglier? Maybe they could offer a "Skins" or "Shades" page, where users could do up alternative GUIs.

    Care to make that suggestion to them? It looks like all of the Galbanum GUIs are of the same genre. Ugh!
    Currently using:
    T43p Thinkpad w/XP SP3 for FOH, Subs and Front Fill Mixes (20% CPU load);
    T500 Thinkpad w/Win7 SP1 for 6 Monitor Mixes (15% CPU load)
    Running at 2x32
    2 Digifaces, 1 w/CardBus, 1 w/ExpressCard
    3-Octamic-D for mic inputs - using the dual outputs to split the ADAT signal to the Digifaces;
    1-RME ADI-8 Pro for all FOH sends; 1-RME ADI-8 Pro for all Monitor sends;

    Finally got around to checking out the demo.. I think I gotta have it. Best plug in verb I've heard. No metallic sound, hard to believe. Smooth tails even on short verbs. A little cpu heavy, but that's probably something to do with why it actually sounds good.

    Any one who owns it, is there a dongle? What's the best price for it? How do you like it after having it for a while? Does it really work in Sac?

    Thanks,
    Tony

    (just re read your post about no dongles.. great)

    I know what a hardware "dongle" is, but in the context you are using it, I'm thinking that there's another meaning for "dongle" I don't know. Can you explain?

    Thanx!

    Its very old school...you download the demo,
    you like it, you buy it, you resieve a serie number,
    type it into the demo and you are going.
    no dongles, no challens respons.

    It works perfect in sac, you Can only buy it directly
    from there site. The price is very good.
    from version 1.5 and up they rewrite it to have zero latency.

    Hi Tony

    I've had it for awhile. It sounds very good. I use it and the SIR convolution reverb as my two reverbs. No problems in SAC.

    Hi Sebastian - thanks for this post.
    I had tried Aether before but could never get it to work SAWStudio.
    Now it does and it's beautiful.

    They also have a new lightweight version out called Breeze which I'm just d/l ing now to try out.
    Both reverebs are on special until 1st Jan 2011.

    cheers - mako
