  1. Default Power loss and recall last state

    Hi!

Is it possible to set up SAC to return to last state after power loss or similar?
My host boots from scratch into SAC in 32 secs, but I can't get it load previous state.

This is a feature I do not want to be without. Am I missing something?

Just save your session before powering down then reload that session.

    Very easy.

Or spend 4 or 5 thousand more for a dedicated desk that will do that and not half the things that only SAC does.

    It's your call.

    thanks

Version 2.6 has an autosave and auto load feature which will save and reload the state when you exit and restart the program... and also create an autosave every x secs... which you can then load when you startup the next time if there was a crash.

Normally, you can easily do that by saving your session and then using the recent session list to load the session again when you restart the program.

It's a computer. You really want a UPS on it anyway. So that if you loose power, at least the SAC host machine is still running.

2.6 is almost ready... but realize that the shutdown save only happens when you exit normally... if the system crashes... of course nothing can be saved at that moment... but with the autosave happening every few mins... then you can get back to where you were a few mins before the crash.

But... as Richard says... you should have a UPS box on the host anyway in case of power failure... at least then you can save and shutdown normally and wait for power to be restored.
