Question Saving Input Source changes in a Scene

Bob, is it possible to save changes made to one or more channels' Input Source assignments (turning Off, in particular) in a Scene?

Also, is it possible to save Chan Disable changes in a Scene?

If so (for either or both possibilities), which switch(es) should I toggle during the Save process? (And where can I find this info in the Helpfile?)

    Thanks, as always!

The scene properties have an option for the chan disable switch as well as the I/A (Input/Attenuator) option.

Make sure the appropriate option is active depending on the desired switches you wish to recall with the scene.

Thanks for the info on saving the Chan Disable (and I/A), Bob.

But no way to save the Input Source assignment in the Scene?

The I/A is the input source section... change the input and activate the I/A option in the scene properties... and that will do it.

This is exactly the method used to switch to a 1 to 1 SS playback during a live tracking session (if you want), where one scene has all the inputs set to the live mics and another scene switches them to SS playback tracks... acts kind of like a source/tape switch on older analog recording consoles.

I/A is short for Input/Attenuator. So all of the data for that section of the channel strip will get switched recalled in a scene if you enable I/A in your Scene Recall Properties.

Thumbs up Re: Saving Input Source changes in a Scene

Yes, Bob, that was one of the applications I was looking to accomplish.

Heh, after all this time...even BS ("Before SAC" ), I never realized that the "/" in "I/A" was as significant as it actually is. I always thought "Input Attenuator" -- i.e., the Attenuator of the Input...one entity -- rather than "Input/Attenuator" -- Input and Attenuator...two separate entities in the one section.

Thanks, Bob and Rich for the clarification...another one of my nomenclature gøøfs.

    Best regards,

No worries..... when I was doing the drafting for the signal flow diagram I had initially labeled src as Sample Rate Conversion, and not the much simpler... Source, which is what is really stands for.

Luckily Bob corrected me on that before I embarrassed myself. But now the story is out.
