Thread: AA Translator

  1. Default Re: AA Translator

Please note: If your Nuendo session is a live recording, or a one take session, you can just grab the audio waves files frm the "audio" folder, that is automatically created with every cubase or nuendo session. If there are overdubs and the wavefiles of these dubs are not starting at time marker "0", they won't place themself correctly.

    Right.

This is an orchestral recording session that vocals were added to later. The orchestra was recorded at the Slovak National Broadcasting Studio in PT HD. And all the tracks were consolidated and sent to a studio here in the States where the vocal was recorded in Nuendo and mastered for the CD. If that studio had been nice enough to consolidate the vocal tracks we'd be in good shape.

Oh. And I was in contact with Michael at AA Translator. He's indicated that more SAW support will be added "in the coming weeks".

I also emailed the AA Translator folks letting them know that I would likely purchase it if it included SAWStudio import/export support - and they emailed me back letting me know they appreciated the feedback. I think if more SAW users emailed them letting them know of our interest would focus them more towards adding in SAW support sooner than later.

We finally got around to releasing v4.2 of AATranslator which among a heap of other things will convert a SAW Studio EDL to PT, Audition, Reaper, Samplitude, etc - you get the picture.

We were a bit delayed due to having to deal with some elusive PT idiosyncrasies.

We have a heap on our plate but we will start chipping away towards conversion to SAW Studio.

    Will keep you posted.

Yes I know it has been a while but we actually have been pretty busy.
ProTools (bless their little sox) have kept us busy as has FCP, OMF and a few other competing priorties.

We finally released our version 5.0 of AATranslator about a week ago and have only now been able to spend any time back on SAW.

Anyway, just a quick update - we have managed to create a SAW edl from AATranslator. In fact we converted the edl which comes with the demo and while it doesn't seem like much trust me it is a big step.

Now it is just a matter of making sure the detail is correct and then a heap of testing.

    Thanks for your patience.
