Default My new work surface (first Shade attempt)

*** THIS SHADE HAS BEEN UPDATED - PLEASE REFER TO THE NEW THREAD HERE http://www.sawstudiouser.com/forums/...985#post177985***I call it ModernVintage.
It borrows some elements from Bob's original shade and a third-party shade called Dark Contemporary.
I don't/won't ever use the XYpan so I got silly with it...

Below is a link to .zip of the ModernVintage1.shd

    http://backfortystudios.com/wp-conte...rnVintage1.zip

    things to note:

    1. XY Pan not implemented... converted to Flavor and Mix Magic sections (just for show, and fun)

    2. certain control/video track bmp's not finished

    3. some switches (solo, mute, gate etc.) have a line beginning near the text and terminating in a tiny circle near the switch/light. this tiny circle indicates the exact center of the hot zone for that control.

    4. non-functional Suck Knob added to W Mixer Aux channels

    5. buttons on Insert section are brightly lit to indicate an active plugin, and dimly lit to indicate a bypassed plugin

    6. vacuum tubes get hot... do not touch the tube on W Mixer Input after extended use

Wild, man. Love the toggle switches. You take those photos yourself? Focus!

This takes the phase "just like a physical console" to new heights.

So, what's the story on the (missing) fader knobs?

thanks dave. all the buttons and switches were grabbed from various VSTs i frequently use... gives things a very cohesive look when i have some plugins on the screen.

they are missing from that last image but they're all there and working on the actual shade

also, when i grabbed the above screenshots, i saved the JPEGs at a quality setting of 6 to reduce filesize... the actual shade is a bit more purty

Great job... very nice work. Just when I thought there couldn't be another nice shade created... here it is!

I'm pretty sure there are no new songs to be written though...

Ditto, Please release for SAC. I will also pay. I love your sense of humor but still making it a functioning, usable shade. Keep it up.

    Thanks!
