  1. Default Best way to record live Multi track songs in SS Lite

    Hi All

OK. I just got SSlite via the good faith agreement ( thanks Bob ) and am working through the manual but I have a Gig tonight and want to record the band using SAC-Saw link. I think I have a handle on setting that up. My questions are:

1 What is the preferred method for recording songs:

    a) One long EDL and then split/edit them later into single song EDL's
    b) Record each song as its own EDL from the start

if "b", Then how do I load a fresh EDL file after each song is done?

    2. Is it possible to add a click track to an EDL AFTER it has been recorded?

if so, what is the best method.

Any help ( or direction to the specific area of the help file or Manual) is appreciated.

    Hal,

Record the entire set in one edl... you can use the Extract Session function later to mark each song and extract it into its own edl for editing and mixing.

You can create a measure mapped click track later with the use of the MWS for midi work... or simply create a manual click track by recording someone tapping the beat. Live performances will always vary in tempo unless they were played live to a preset click track.
