    Default Windows 8 crashes

I previously posted on here asking for advice on what to look for when buying a computer to run SawStudio on. I actually purchased a Dell 660 with Windows 8. It has plenty of RAM, 2T of hard drive space, 7200 rpm, etc. I am also running Amplitude. My problem is that Saw keeps freezing up and crashing when I use multiple instances of Amplitude. I could understand if the system wasn't quick enough or lacked the RAM power but this thing is brand new and packed with the right stuff. What can I do to prevent the crashes? Does anyone else have problems with Amplitude? Is Windows 8 the best OS for Saw now, or should I go back to something else?

    Default Re: Windows 8 crashes

I would try setting the SAWStudio desktop icon compatibility to Win XP SP3.

You might also want to try finding some of the Win 7 tweaks doc settings from the misc downloads of the SAWStudio website and doing them as well.

You might also try setting SAWStudio to force single cpu option and Realtime priority.

    See if that helps.
