I'm with Peter on this one and to answer your question, no, it's the same as it was.

I think red is intuitive for a phantom power light. Maybe I've just gotten used to it. I would consider red- active and green-idle.

Touche' regarding phantom indicator lights. I guess I've never worked with a console that combined the power light with the phantom power light. They have always been 2 different lights. If the collective is used to and happy with the current convention, then I guess I should just get used to it.

I really wish for the extra 200 bucks they could have added 7 more switches and done separate phantom for each channel.

Agreed! I mean, they doubled the price. I'm not thoroughly convinced that the changes they made justified a 100% increase in price. I assumed the retail cost would go up, but double??? I figured they would go up $50.00 or so.

I dont get how you think they doubled the price, I bought my original ada8000 units for 329.99 each ... NOW you may be able to get them cheaper than that.. As time goes on, the will adjust pricing like they did the 8000... Im pretty happy with 349.99

I purchased all of my ADA8000's for under $175 NEW. Some for as little as $149. So thats a doubling of the price. Even with that... add another $25 bucks and put the extra switches in.

face it, bang for the buck 300+ is still a good price for 8 A/D AND 8 D/As.

Is the output still +16? I hate that with my 2408, makes me feel whimpy next to a yamaha at +24, at least the x32 is +21.
