    Thanks all for the info... that is what I thought, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't mistaken. For what it's worth my SAC system that ran all summer was running an NVidea display card and I don't think we had any issues. None I remember anyway that I might attribute to that.

    Hello,

    It IS worth noting that the Intel Dell's - my named nemesis - uses nothing but genuine nVIDIA cards - not branded. And their systems are rock solid.

    I would personally avoid MSI or Gigabyte branded cards – and stay with ASUS, EVGA or nVidia cards.

    I thought you might want to know of this.

    Thanks for the extra info. I actually found an older ATI card I had in my file drawer of "cards".

    So far that is running well. The Core 2 Duo system has been running for 24 hours almost, minus a restart to put this card in.

    But now it's time to hook up control surfaces and all that and we'll see if any issues arise once all the smaller stuff is up and running.
