    Default Input/Output Delays

Is there any low Latency plugins I could use for Input/output Delays?
I'm gearing up for using the Sac Rig for theater shows.

    Also Bob,
Any news on a Playback plugin I heard you talk about on Sound Design live?

SAC comes with an echo/delay plugin.

The included Studio Delay can easily be used for system alignment and for precedence effects in theatre. Do it all the time.

Just turn the source volume (src vol) all the way down. And turn the "strength" all the way to the max setting, which is basically unity gain. Keep the feedback at 0% and you have a time delay, rather than an echo or delay effect.

Should add... the only reason I would bother with a VST plug instead of the included native plug is if I was doing an installed sound system with all the processing inside SAC (which frankly I personally wouldn't recommend, but to each his own).

In that case you may want/need a time delay with a bit more precision than 1ms increments. Although frankly I think that is always "close enough" because there is no real "ideal" time delay amount since the ideal amount will change if you move a few rows forward or backward, it certainly doesn't hurt to have the ability to do .1 ms increments when one is designing a sound system for permanent install.

But in those types of situations I usually prefer to do that type of set up in a system DSP rather than inside SAC or some of the systems I work with have all that processing built right into the amps.

I am currently using the native echo/dealy for alignment but I'm finding that my engineers are making mistakes when trying to adjust the delay for the vocal and instead are adjusting the output delays for the speakers. Big problem! I would rather find a separate time alignment delay plugin that is not supported remotely for this purpose. I tried downloading phasebug but do not see any effect when adjusting the phase on my smaart display. Any suggestions for a time alignment delay plugin?

This one was mentioned earlier, is free, and works great.

    Thanks Brett.
I downloaded the 64bit version and installed it and it appears in my FX list but I get an error message that states "Trouble Loading Plugin" when I try to assign it to a channel (See attached).
Anyone have this problem? Do I need to load the 32bit version?

SAC is not a 64 bit app. So yes, you probably need to use the 32 bit version, not the 64 bit. That would be my guess anyway.
