  1. Default New Chance - OCA Alliance

    Bosch Communications Systems
    d&b audiotechnik GmbH
    Duran Audio
    LOUD Technologies, Inc.
    Media Technology Systems
    PreSonus
    Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup
    TC Group
    Yamaha Commercial Audio

Your dream of Sozalismus is true.*
In the OCA Alliance have a few small manufacturers such as:*

    Bosch Communications Systems*
    d & b products GmbH* Duran audio*
    LOUD Technologies, Inc.*
    Media Technology Systems*
    PreSonus*
    Salt burner Stagetec Media Group*
    TC Group*
    Yamaha Commercial Audio*

done together by the theme to standardize control data. If the finish can Audinate the record in the developer toolkits. A new device on the market will then need to be measured by whether it offers this feature and thus multi-vendor integration. I share your skepticism .... but maybe we can yes but in 5 years NEN Midas preamp with NEM Lynx converters for drums and vocals and flexi Rio for all backings on Cisco geswitcht and by Fiberfox distributed in ne SSL FOH console and NEN Yamaha monitor desk directly in Labgruppen amps and for ne Recording sum over Focusrite D / A out and by copper NEN tent to Ner X32-D

This is OMNEA. This is what they have been working on for a few years and are presenting to the AES this next year.

There is nothing to be skeptical about. The concept is to provide audio, video, dmx, MIDI, etc over ethernet, use off the shelf IT products, and not sell licenses, not charge royalties, etc. Some of the smartest guys in the world are working on this.

Midas uses AES50, which is Layer1 (like Ethersound and A-Net). AES50 does not play well on networks. It is best used on closed, discrete networks.
