How to playback sound files from Scenes view with SAWStudio

I ask for friendly help. I'm sure this question was answered more than one time here, but I can't find a how-to or a tutorial.

For a theatre I'd like to start several sound effect playbacks from Scenes view. I own also SAWStudio Full.
Still found that "Show Control" must be the key function, but I've no idea how to set it up.

Would be glad to receive hints.

Thank you very much for this fully understandable explanation. Everything you described worked as you mentioned. Part G ends with playing manually a track from SAW. And SAC is doing the fader setting automated.
What is the trick to START (and STOP) single soundfiles from the SAC Scenes window?

There is no secret. Except that you can not do that.

SAC has absolutely no control over SAW. What you must do is use SAW's Show Control window as your cue list. And let SAW control SAC. If you want to fire off a scene inside SAC, you can do that using the Control Track in SAW. But there is no way to control SAW from inside SAC.

Most of the time it works out OK. But if you want to fade out a playback cue that is currently running at some random point and then stop the playback, it is a royal pain in the rear. Since you have to fire off the scene by hand from inside SAC and then fire off the command to stop and advance to the next SAW edl file in the Show Control by hand.

Walter, RBI is the "man" when it comes to SAC and Scenes. You should get a copy of his tutorial.

Thank you to both of you! To make things more complicated this weekend I'm working the first time with a remote laptop on FOH and the host rack aside stage. Wasn't there a posibility to run SAW also remotely? I never tried before. Is there a how-to in the forum? Would you experts say this could make the job?

Yes SAW has a remote mode under options TCP/ip
Be sure to change the Port number to something different that what SAC is set to Both SAC and SAW default to 14
Once you figure out the control track and show control you can do just about anything you want
