    Default Power Shades Problem

    Hi All
I have a small problem with Power shades, when I click on bit map to open
in Photoshop It says "An Exception Has Occurred" and won't let me past.

Has anyone had this and sorted it out.
I did it years ago on win xp but have slept since then.

    I'm using win 7 pro 64bit

Cheers for the help in advance.

You may be in the wrong forum. This is a digital audio workstation discussion group.

Hmmm... it's working fine for me on Windows 8.1 64 bit. I'm only guessing here, but in Power Shades under "Configure" then the "Images" tab, do you have the default editor set to you correct Photoshop directory? Again, this is only a guess, as it's working correctly here, so I doubt it's your OS causing the problem. Is Photoshop working correctly otherwise? Have you tried to un-install, then re-install Power Shades? Sorry again for guessing.

thanks for the help, no worries about guessing sometimes you hit the spot.

Dave, I understand this is digital audio forum, but making shades is a part of saw studio & sac.
    That's why I posted here.

    Thanks guys

Well, making shades is really not part of SAWStudio and SAC. But, I do understand that some SAW enthusiasts have done that.

As an audio guy, I don't know what Power Shades is. I tried googling it and got nothing but automated venetian blinds products , so it sure seems to be a little-known thing. In any event I believe the etiquette asks that you put an "OT:" in front of the thread title in cases such as this.

PowerShades was a tool specifically written to help with the process of making shades for SAW Studio.

That would explain why a google turned up nothing, I guess. I didn't include SAWStudio as a search term.

I guess it calls the alleged OT-ness into question. It's an interesting area, an undefined realm somewhere between Bob's vision for SAW and the forum and the interests of a few SAWyers -- closer, perhaps to the latter. I hereby drop my alert to Defcon 2.

    Hi All
I have sorted this problem out, I download Power Shades from
    haphazards site and re-installed.
Must have been a corrupted file.

Thanks to all for the prompt help.

Hope to have some new Shades up soon.

    Regards
    Greeny
