    Default AES NYC

If you're going to the AES Show, stop by the D.W.Fearn booth (920) and say hello. I'll be there most of the next three days.

Doug is an old friend. He was chief engineer at the station where I was an interm. I still help him with sessions. He wanted another person to cover the booth, so here I am.

I didn't see this until I had left the show. I hope you had a good time.

It was tiring doing three and a half days, but worthwhile. Met some great people and saw some nice gear. Sorry I missed you. Maybe in two years.

Fearn, Back when I had some spare cash, I bought a channel strip that was perpetually delayed. Eventually I changed the order to a 2 chan pre. It wound up being just the finest thing.

What was the story with the channel strip? I think eventually he made some and then didn't.

If I recall correctly, the combination product had a (necessarily) high price, which limited orders, and ultimately, I think Doug decided to build only individual components, which leaves patching order up to the user.

Glad you like the pre. I do, too, although I have only one channel.

Did anyone stop by the Steven Slate booth and listen to the virtual microphone demo? I thought it sounded very interesting. If you heard it what did you think?
