SMUX Question

I have an 8-channel mic pre and ADDA box that will do sync and send 96k via SMUX. To get all eight channels at 96k, I would need four ADAT cables (two IN and two OUT). But my interface has only one ADAT in/out connection. Can I use only the first four channels on two cables? The markings on the connectors lead me to think so.

The ADDA is the Presonus Digimax FS and the interface is the RME Fireface UCX.

Yes, you should be able to do 4 channels over the single pair (in/out) of ADAT cables.
