Default Anyone using the focusrite Scarlett 18i20 with windows 10

Hi I've built a new system (thanks to the Guys on this fourm for their help)
    I have a focusrite Scarlett 18i20 & octopre mk2 USB 2 and optical connection.
I've had a few issues recording at 48khz 24bit, saw studio showing buffer underruns and also forcing engine shutdowns.

I was wondering if anyone out their was using the 18i20 with windows 10 and
Had any advice about the best buffer size sample rates etc....

It does work but a little flaky with saw.

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Regards greeny

Let's start with the obvious. Are you using the ASIO driver?

Options/Audio Driver Model/Asio Protocol (should be checked...)

    Hi Kurt
Thanks for the reply, yes I'm using the latest version of the Asio drivers
And I've discussed this with bob aswell.
I've made the buffer larger which helps but adds a lot latency.
Only getting this issue at 48khz 24bit.
I wanted to see what buffer size and sample rate other are using without problem's.

Can you tell us a little more about what's under the hood in your PC?

This may not be relevant, but I tried using an 18i20 with SAC, and had frequent problems with it dropping the USB connection. When first starting the system, I also sometimes would have to repeatedly turn the interface off and on before it would be recognized. This was on Windows 8.1, so we're not talking about the exact scenario, but there seems to be an issue with the driver IMHO.

Hi, Richard yes I've had some problems like having to restart the system to get sound as it keeps flashing up asio drivers reseting in progress.

Sorry Curt I should have put my system spec up first.
    Here it is:
    I7 6 core 6800k broadwell-e overclocked to 4.2gb
    Asus x99-A ii motherboard
    16gig corsair vengeance ddr4 ram
Samsung 256gb ssd system drI've on an 2.months slot.
Samsung 1tb evo 850 data drive
    Amd firepro W4300 graphics card
    Fractal design r4 case
    Be quite 600watt psu.
    2x iiyama t2735msc-2 multitouch screenso

I've ran test at 48khz 24bit at 1ms on the focusrite
Mix control know both Sawstudio and Reaper.
    Reaper had no problems.

    Thanks again for you input.

Sorry forgot to say, the tests I ran were 100 stereo tracks for one minute @ 48khz 24bit with 10 waves plugins place on after .
I did this in Sawstudio and Reaper, but saw had issues playing back and recording, mainly buffer underruns
    And forcing engine shutdowns.

    Cheers greeny.
