Anybody ever use one of these with a MOTU or RME card? Results?

There are a few external enclosures on the market. You can get these to interface with thunderbolt, which is effectively PCIe over an external interface. This sort of thing looks neat for the right solution... but I'd wonder how well engineered it is for that price.
