Default How to load the wave plugins in the SAC software

    Hello with everyone

I'm trying to load my waves plugins into the software, the steps I perform are:

1, I enter the central waves and download with my license
2, I copy the files from the waves folder to the VST folder of SAC plugins
3, start SAC and does not recognize me

What do I have to do to get the plguins loaded?

    Howdy!

Lots of Waves plugins can be loaded into SAC,
The best method by far is with Chainer - VST plugin HOST / plugin
Sounds weird but actually very simple vst plugin that hosts vst plugins
    in one rack.
Some like C6 will die as soon you start tweaking them...
Though is you insert them into Chainer - they happen to work...
You have a list of working Waves plugins on this forum...Check it out!
    Also....
Look for the Freeware and Shareware VST topic on the forum.
You'll find a great deal of plugins and explanations...

How do you use the chainer? Does it have a vst plugin

If you wan't to use Waves plugins in SAC, you'll need a program called shell2vst.exe
You have to find the 32 bit version of the WaveShell-VST version number.dll It's default location is C:\Program Files(x86)\VSTPlugIns\
Edit the properties of shell2vst.exe so it's always run with admin privileges. Drag and drop the WaveShell...dll onto shell2vst.exe
shell2vst.exe generates a folder called Waves (in the same folder as shell2vst.exe is in) with all the single .dll files / plugins. Copy the ones you need to the SAC VST_PlugIns folder.

Note that a lot of Waves plugins have internal latency and they will not work directly in SAC. If you want to use plugins with latency in SAC you have to use Chainer or a similar wrapper.

    Just like Peter said,

for using most of the Waves plugins you'll need to have the Chainer, wich is a great tool.
Something similar to waves rack but less powerful...but still awesome!
You will be able to have the Waves plugins loaded into Chainer (a vst plugin ) that will recall
all your settings in one preset. That is awesome as you can do crazy setups

    Here it is

    https://www.xlutop.com/zip/chainer103.zip

Chainer is not a freeware plugin BUT!!! you can try the demo version that is fully working, yet it won't save presets.

Is chainer pretty easy to setup? Also does anyone know if there’s a way to use wavesrack with SAC?

Waves Rack will have latency I guess, never tried it to be honest!

I use Chainer, guess it forces realtime audio and overcomes the issues with VST's that
otherwise wouldn't work in SAC, so that is why it is used here.
It's easy - actually you don't need to set things up anything except, running a scan
for the plugins DIR and that's it!

    Cheers!
