Show control midi trigger not working ??

I know I have used midi to trigger show control global play but I can not get it to work
I am trying to get a global play start by using Booms midi translator converting a keystroke to midi note on 90 05 01 which should be note on ch 1 note F1 velocity 1
I can use a midi monitor to show it works
I have SAW set for midi in Booms midi out 1 and midi in active in show control trigger in active global play set to F1 but get no start
If I use last midi note in chooses F0 but still doesn't work

Help I have 2 musicals going on and it would really help

Make sure to also activate the midi in/out active options in the Smpte/Midi menu... these act as master midi activation switches.

Yes I have them on
I am using the control track to send midi to light console
Just can not get the play trigger to work

Butch,

For me:

Options > Midi Device Setup > Midi-Control Device Out: Assigned to whatever MIDI device you have connected.

Smpte/Midi > Midi-Control Out Active: Enabled

Then make sure everything is being send out on the correct MIDI channel.

I must admit, I have never used this feature of Show Control. What are the settings you have for the following:

Midi Receive Trigger Active
Midi Receive Channel: Default is Chan 1
Global Play Midi Trigger: Default is None

Also, I see that you are using the Control Track. Can the Control Track not be used alone - that is, without the need of Show Control?

Hi Dell
I was setting up a global Play for Show Control
Got it working Midi translator was sending out wrong data my mistake
I am doing a Catholic school musical (Madagascar) not much $ but good community service
30 EDL's with music tracks with the control track sending Midi to the light control and scene changes to SAC (15 headset mics and choir and floor mics)
Since I was going between SAC and SAW I needed a global Play next button
Shows went about as good as small school show can got lots of compliments
1 more show (Cinderella)at another school Tomorrow
I am never doing 2 school musical at the same time again
