  1. Default PreSonus Quantum Interface

Seems interesting. Very low latency, daisy chain up to four units (96in/96outs) and thunderbold driver for Windows. And the preamps are remote-able due to the UC surface control software -->

    Wurst,

Looks very nice indeed!...Price maybe not too bad either.

    Thanks for the update.

Now of they could just get all the inputs on the same side of the box. 2 inputs on front and 6 on back makes it a challenge to connect and actually use.

...I heartily agree with you on this one, Philip.

Also, would the use of XLR or combi jacks for the outputs be preferable as well?

What we really need is an updated ADA-8200!

PS: Thunderbolt does indeed look promising as well!

The 1/4 in jacks for outputs is not a deal breaker, but if I have a choice I'd certainly prefer XLR's or DB25 Tascam connectors.

We don't know what the latency is yet actually.

They also advertised that the 192 had amazing latency specs, yet it turned out to be one of the worst RTLs of any modern interface.

They may yet have done the same thing again.

Obviously not independently confirmed, but the guy at the booth specifically says 1ms and buffer settings down as low as 8 samples.
