You might want to consider doing your shows using the Show Control view... this would allow you to keep each edl separate and still have individual control of the mixes live... each song remains separate and you can then place them in any order on the fly in the Show Control View and run the live performance from there.

Show Control is an absolutely incredible feature-set.

I use to all of the time - even during my practice sessions.
