Thread: It can be done

    Default It can be done

Today I decided to test the MADI USB driver on a Soundcraft Si Impact at a church I do some work for.

Recorded 6 channels with SAWStudio on to a micro SD card on a $100 tablet. I just don't know if that is possible with any other recording software.

OK, Angie, I'll bite. How? Where were Windows and SawStudio? What were the signal paths?

SAWStudio is on the Windows tablet. The direct outs from the board are MADI to the USB on the tablet.

Ah, got it. Haven't been in the computer hardware market for a couple of years, so I didn't realize Windows tablets existed. The best 2018 models according to PC Mag start at $400. But still a lot less than a decent laptop. Thanks.
