    Default VST Audio File Player

    Hello,

    Not too sure if anyone knows of this: Mirax Labs vstPlayer

    There is a Free version that only plays .wave files, but the paid version - $9.99US, plays WAV/AIFF/FLAC/OGG/MP3 within SAC, or SAW for that matter.

    No issues thus far - well worth a "Ten-ner" - or $13.15 for us CDN folks.

    I tried the free version. Very nice update of the GUI for sure. Unfortunately, the paid version wouldn't open for me. Strange the the free version did.

    Angie,

    Both working here??
    * SS v5.6

    For the commercial version, there are three types of downloads provided, 1) a dll, 2) a zip, and a 64-bit dll.

    Not too sure about the zip version - looks to be MAC-only.

    Try disabling your AV - as dll's are really not the best thing to download. Should be zipped.

    PS: I have emailed them to provide a zipped version of the dll. I will keep you updated.

    Didn't you make a free audio file player yourself? What happened to that one? Just curious.

    Of course. Most of my recording machines don't have anti-virus, so my mind didn't go there.

    ...Yes I did...and I still use it myself. vstPlayer just provides more options - multiple file formats, playlists and so on.

    Yep. I have proven that the paid version does not work in XP.

    The free version which only plays .wav files does work just fine in XP, however.
