Default Yamaha vs RME, DANTE or ADAT???

Would be appropriated if anyone that has ever had been using these cards, would give us a little
feedback or a small review on:

    - how you connect preamps
    - what pre's do you use
    - switches
    - what is your setup (latop or desktop)
    - latency, issues and so on...
    - if Dante what interfaces do you use and how do you distribute signal
    - Dante and controlling preamps from a PC...

My plan is to make two setups, one with a laptop and the other one with a rack PC...
so I'm in a phase of investigating what will work for me and hopefully get rid of my old system
Where I live, there is no such a thing as BIG music shops nor music centers, that I could go in and try out all these toys.
So I hope that u guys out there, have already had opportunities to played around with this stuff.
Just share your thoughts and experiences, everyone is welcome!
    Thanks!

Default Re: Yamaha vs RME, DANTE or ADAT???

    My current configuration
    1.5u rack mount PC - CPU INTEL|CORE i5 650 3.2G | Windows XP SP3
    1-RME RAYDAT card
    4-Behringer ADA8200 preamps

New system not yet deployed (parts are all in, just haven't configured and tested new system)
    1.5U Rack Mount PC - CPU INTEL|CORE i3 7100 3.9G | Windows 10 LTSB or Win 7
    1-RME RAYDAT Card
    4-MOTU 8M Preamps
    1-MOTU 24AO DAC (24channel buffered digital splitter)
    1-MOTU AVB Switch

New system is 32 channels In/Out with a separate 24 channel split for FOH/or other dedicated mixing primarily when we aren't supplying the FOH system. Input/Output to the computer is ADAT through the RME card. AVB over ethernet cabling is used for the digital split.
