    Default 8bit U-Law to 48K .wav convertion

I got a couple files from a skype interview that need to be added to a podcast. They are 8 bit U-law, of course, so they won't load into SAW, izotope RX or Reaper. No luck using db poweramp to convert them. Do I really have to install Audacity or is there a simpler way I don't know about?

Never mind. Turns out this is easily done using Windows Sound Recorder in XP.
