Alesis QS8.2 User Bank Sysex File Needed.

Looking for a Vintage Synth user who owns an Alesis QS8.2 keyboard... My User Bank crashed and all patches have been lost... probably the internal battery died after so many years and the User Bank is RAM... I never did make a backup sysex dump of the User Bank and would love to get back all of the Programs and patches.

Looked all over online and can no longer find a sysex dump of the Factory USER Bank... can someone create a sysex file for me of their QS8.2 USER BANK... it would be greatly appreciated.

I just looked at my keyboard it says QS8 on top - so unless there is a minor revision not reflected in the top surface, I assume this will be no help. I should set this up one of these days - if for no other reason to do a dump for myself. I'll look for revision info on the lcd.

By coincidence, about a week ago I replaced a soldered in battery with a battery holder in (another Alesis device) a quadraverb according to these instructions:

...as the pdf indicates, I was able to restore most of the presets from rom. I too had many cool patches setup which of course are gone...

There may be an analogous step on the keyboard. Prior to me finding that doc, the quadraverb was a brick I hadn't yet thrown out.

Finally got a chance to send the sysex file to my QS8.2.... worked perfectly... Thank you Philip.

Now I just need to open it up and change out the battery so I can turn the unit on and off without loosing the USER Bank.
