Default SS 64bit and plugin alliance and Waves

    Hi everyone. Been a while...

I'm contemplating taking the plunge on the 64 bit version.
Any comments how well it works with Plugin Alliance plugins and Waves plugins especially since they use their own activation processes.

    Thanks!

    Hi Eitan,

I can't comment on the Waves but I have many of the PA plugins. I'll try them (in Win7Pro64) and report back. I do already know the bx_digital v3 EQ is working fine FWIW.

I have the 64bit Louder Than Liftoff Chop Shop plugin from P.A. and the free set you get when you sign up. I've opened all of them in SAW64 (just to confirm the activation) and actually used the Chop Shop. My studio building has no Internet service, so I used the offline activation method with no issues at all.

    Regards,
    John

I use the offline method of authorization for these. I just went through my list and tried each of the plugins, patching and removing live with the engine playing a long wav file in the MT. I tried them all at 48khz. All the PA plugins seem to be working perfectly on my system. The only one that hiccuped when I patched it was the Sandman delay but it seems to have the highest cpu usage of all of them (8-9% in SAW units) and was fine once patched. I dragged all the DLL's from a folder elsewhere on my machine to SAW's VST plugin folder to perform this test.

Two thumbs up for the Plugin Alliance products with SAWStudio64!

I am using the Waves Horizon bundle in SAW64 with no issues.

You do need the shell2vst64 program as mentioned in this thread:
