RME 9652 and SAW Issues ??

My system just went haywire on me , U havent used it to record for quite a while but when I started it up I was not getting monitoring in record mode , some ch. would monitor some not so I went into RME Totalmix and it looks totally different now , meters /faders etc. anyhow I cannot get it to work now. I get input signal to the ch. but not to the master out indicators.

1. DO I have to use total mix to monitor ?
2. Is this a RME issue or SAW issue ? ( my old saved setup files are gone , might be else where in my system)
3. how do I test SAW to troubleshoot this ?

TotalMix controls the RME routing... try clicking on Preset 1 in TotalMix... that should route everything 1 to 1 which is what you want.

I believe a control-click on preset 1 will recall the factory default.

Ok I think I found it , the Monitoring in SAW was turned OFF for some reason , I set it to always monitor and now I have sound again ???? weird that it turned off. I lost all my settings including my in/outs in my setup !! saved them to default pref's , all seems ok now
I think I updated SAW to a different drive !
