    Default Marked Area Playback and Loop Playback - shortcut key question

    Bob;

    While exploring Key Combinations that would speed up my work flow I realized that 2 key combinations do not seem to work as documented;

    Control + Spacebar: Initiate playback and loop of Marked Area
    Shift + Spacebar: Initiate playback of marked area

    Also when using the Frontier Design Alphatrack Midi Control Template File: the Midi Command for

    "Play Loop start:" 90 56 127 does not work.

    Would you be able to have a look at these please?

    Robert,
    these commands function in SoundFile view, not MT view. Open a region in SoundFile view (double-clicking any region in MT View) and test to verify.

    Ooops my wrong! You are correct, what a pity, would be so useful if it could also work in the multitrack view!

    Thanks for pointing that out.

    They're not shortcuts, but there are buttons that do exactly what you asked about. In the MT window, under the Current Time display near the upper left corner, there are four buttons: Stop, Play, Play Marked, and Repeat Play Marked (not really a loop, as there's a slight delay before the repeat). The next button is a toggle. When "IN", it returns the cursor to the last start position every time you stop play.

    Hi Ian;

    I'm aware of these and use them, but very much prefer keyboard short cuts.
    I thought I found the shortcut for "play and loop marked area" but I was mistaken unfortunately.

    Thanks for your input though!

    Cheers;
