Video track issue

I've been using Pavtube to create AVI files for the video track in SAW Studio.
I created one from an MP4 and the AVI won't load into the video track nor the player.

I'll be looking to see if Pavtube has an update but I can't imagine that being the problem
since SAW and Pavtube have been playing nicely for years.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Bill

I've used Xilisoft video converter to make AVI files for SAWStudio from MP4s. I'm sure you want to stick to Pavtube if you can but it might get your project done. It's not too expensive.

I've had to play with the configuration settings sometimes to get an AVI SAWStudio likes.

I use PavTube to make AVIs with the Xvid codec and it works well. Though, sometimes I get an extra frame at the start of the converted file that I have to remove.

I'll make sure I'm using the Xvid codec and if I can't get that to work, I'll look into Xilisoft.

The error message says:

"Trouble opening video file
It possibly no longer exists".

This is just after creating it.
Very odd.

Also, other programs will open the file but not SAW.
