Thread: TapeIt 64Bit

    Default TapeIt 64Bit

    Hi,

After moving to SAC64, I'm looking for a simple VST recorder (like TapeIt) as 64Bit VST2 plugin.

SAWStudio using the SAC Link would be the best choice... you can record full multitrack as well as up to 8 stereo mix busses assigned from any SAC output.

    Good day,

Bob's response reminds me of the song "Blowin' in the Wind", wherein, I updated the chorus to "When we we ever learn? When will we ever learn?"

Well, doing a short serarch I came across many 'Tape plugins'.
But I do not need more than stereo, no tape-saturation, no wow and flutter, no tape-aging and no incorrect azimuth simulation. Even no playback needed.
Just a simple plugin that copies the audio data to a file, like tape-it does for 32Bit.

I understand it may seem like overkill, but SAW Studio will do exactly what you're asking for. It just also gives you the flexibility to do more should the need arise.

You don't have to record every channel. You can record a single stereo audio file from any SAC output channel.

Haven't tried it in sac, but Melda Production's free MRecorder might be worth a try

    Here's an alternative...

    1. install Odeus Asio Link Pro drivers
    2. link your cards drivers
    3. set SAC to one of the cores of your processor
    4. open any DAW and record what is coming into the card or that goes out...
    5. you can loop the signals and re-patch them from out to in and vise versa.....

    Emjoy!

Well... I could also use Dante Virtual Soundcard in a DAW and patch the output of SAC. But I just want a simple plug in solution, so I'll check the melda stuff.
