Default Noise - Clicks - Between Scenes

We use a monitor feed from SAC for our stream at church. I have several scenes for music and speakers. I have a noticeable click when changing scenes, primarily from music to a speaker. I have played with the "fades" and "switches first" functions but am not able to eliminate the annoying (to me, haha) clicks. It's almost like there needs to be an intermediate scene with all faders down, before switching to the speaker's scene. That would be time consuming and rife with potential user errors - Unless there's some kind of macro function, I am not aware of.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

Generally speaking clicks/pops will be one of two things

    1. dropped (slipped) or overrun buffers (which is where I would look first)
    2. some input/channel with a DC voltage offset

Have you checked to see if your dropping buffers?

    From the Manual
    -----------------------
[Left-Clicking] on the Load Display will popup a small message window which displays the current
count of input and output slipped buffers since the engine has been started. This slippage will have
been automatically re-synced so there is no overall latency drift. If your system is running completely
stable under load, these values should remain zero.

I will check the buffers but I don't think that will be an issue. If the sound (music) has fully decayed prior to hitting the scene change, there is no noise. My thought is that the instrument/vocal faders set at zero in the speaker's scene, with "switches first" not depressed, that the faders should take care of the outputs, without noise. If I do it manually, there is no noise. I have tried varying the fade rate from 100-1500ms.

    Mike,
Whenever I have "issues" I install the demo versions of SAC and VSTPlayer [Click-Me].
    * Or a "minimal/stripper" version of the session

This assures me that all the ins-and-outs of SAC are working at it should.

I have worked extensively with scenes and have never experienced the issues you are having.

It's a VERY involved session so I wouldn't want to re-build it. 13 monitor feeds. Multiple instruments....

Have you checked for slipped buffers yet?

Could it be DC offset on an input?

I played in the band this past Sunday so could not check for DC offset or slipped buffers. I'll be back in the video room on July 2. I'll keep y'all posted. I appreciate the ideas.
