Default Recording Multiple Mixer Channels at once

So, It looks like you can't record more than one mixer channel as an input into Saw.... trying to record (in real time) 3 tracks of VE Pro onto 3 audio tracks.

    Make sense??

I can't do "create mix" of the Vienna Ensemble instances off line, as they come back all clicks and distorted, even with buffer set as high as it will go...

New computer running windows 11. VE Pro running on same computer. Also tried network computer.

I'm not understanding what your configuration is. Of coarse you can record multiple mixer channels at once in SAW.

A little more detail about how your system(s) is/are setup and what you're using VE Pro to do (meaning why three channels).

Does VE pro playback through SAW Studio correctly without glitches before you try to record?

    Is SAW Studio Dropping buffers?

Are you using Saw Studio alone or in conjunction with SAC?

I knew this would be hard to explain....
I have 3 instances of VE pro one tracks 1, 2, and three....Bass, Drums, Piano.

Triggered of course my MWS tracks...and they playback fine.

I would then want to record tracks 1,2, and 3...Bass, Drums, Piano....as audio tracks...say to 4, 5 and 6. I set the input to of those to Mixer Channels 1, 2 and 3, but Saw does not record them...I have to record them one at a time...Bass to track 4, then drums to 5, and last Piano to 6.

I could make a short video tomorrow if that would help...

when you say it doesn't record, what happens when you try to record all three at once?

    Rich,

I guess that I would like to know what or how you are employing VE Pro for?
    * Again, I gather that you have three instances of VE Pro...one each for I-01,
    I-02, I-03...correct?

I gather that you are using MWS with a 3-part MIDI track...correct?

What is "feeding" the samples to VE Pro?

    Rich,

Okay! What MIDI Channels/Ports are you employing?
    • The more "data" you provide here the better here!!

I guess what I am somewhat confused about is why you are using VE Pro in the first place?

Have your tried Kontakt locally, and then observe what occurs there?

I'm using VE pro because I have some VST3's that are no longer available as VST 2 ....

I have all the ports and stuff just fine...or it would'n't work at all...
I just finished the project by recording on one mixer channel at a time....I just don't see why I couldn't do all 3 at once...Maybe Bob will come in sometime.

    Rich,

Unless I am missing something here?

    Some facts...

    1) You can only have one instance of MWS!
    2) You insert Kontakt on I-01, I-02 and I-03
    * Assign Bass, Drums, Piano - to each in turn
    * Set SoftSynth Midi-In Port=101, 102, and 103 - each in turn
    * Set Midi Device Setup=MWS Virtual Port Out 01, MWS Virtual Port Out 02, and MWS Virtual Port Out 03 - again each in turn
    4) Import your MIDI File
    5) MWS T1=Prt-1, Chan-1
    7) MWS T2=Prt-2, Chan-2
    6) MWS T3=Prt-3, Chan-3
    7) Enable MWS T1, T2 and T3 in turn
    8) Enable appropriate tracks in SAW
    9) Enable [REC]

PS: Getting late here...I will test this out in the morning!
