Default Midi track not copied. Win 10 64-bit problem?

    Hello Folks!

A MIDI track is not copied at all.
I have copied the midi data from track 1 to tracks 2 and 3, no problem doing that, it plays and sounds great.
When I copy the midi data from track 4 bass track to another empty midi track the data does not go to the empty track, in fact it doesn't go to any track.
Track 4 the bass track plays and sounds fine, but no midi data is copied.
How is it possible that midi data from that bass track is suddenly not copied? No problem copying midi data from the other tracks.
I did as I always do either ctrl+a then left drag and right click to copy or select the bars then ctrl+backspace to selected track which I have also done many times and it always worked.
This time, one track just won't do it.
I restarted the computer but still the same problem.
Anyone else had the same problem?
    Is this a win10 64bit problem? I have SAW 64 bit.

Just a guess: bass notes are low. Are you sure the notes aren't there, but just below the visible portion of the track's view? After copy/pasting to the new MWS track. Be sure the track is the hottrack and then hold down ctrl and click either the up or down button in MWS. That should reveal all notes in the track.

    Göran,

Firstly, to answer your last question, "Is this a win10 64bit problem?" ...The answer is "No...it is not!"

Secondly, do you understand that all MIDI data is in fact, "data" - whether such data is pitch-related or otherwise?

Thirdly, by default, it would appear that MWS displays "sustain" data at the outset [Light blue]
    * Please peruse the following: [Click_Me]

    Let me ask the following:

Q1: Does Track 4 have any non-pitch-related data at all?
    * Please ensure that the "Filter" option is disabled
    * If there happens to be no non-pitch-related data - then there is simply no data to copy.
    R1:

Q2: Have you enabled the "Display" option first?
    * If you do not enable the "Display" option first, then all MIDI data will be copied to the destination.
    R2:

Q3: You state: "I did as I always do either ctrl+a then left drag and right click to copy or select the bars then ctrl+backspace to selected track which I have also done many times and it always worked."
    * I have nver employed a "ctrl+a then left drag and right click to copy" operation...so I am unable to comment on this operation at this time.
May I ask where specifically you obtained the "
ctrl+a then left drag and right click to copy" operation" information?
    * The "Ctrl+Backspace" works as expected, however.
    R3:

Q4: Have you re-read the section entitled, "Marked Range Multiple Note Manipulation"?
    * It would appear that the employment of the "Shift" key or the "Ctrl" key is noted here.
    R4:

And "No!"...I personally, have not experienced this same problem?

    Whoaa.....everything is fine and OK!
You guessed it, it was the midi notes that disappeared out of sight.
I didn't notice that it was the track height that had to be adjusted. Now I know, Thank You.

Can't remember where I got that info, but sometimes I use that copy method inside a midi bar to copy and move notes using the mouse.
Thanks to you too for this time.
    The problem was solved.

    Göran,

Yes...manipulating MIDI pitch-data is applicable via a left drag and right click operation.

    "The problem was solved." ..."Upeaa!!"

    Göran,

As an aside, Göran, I very much appreciate your inquisitiveness - in that such provokes me to "dig a little deeper" into the idiosyncrasies of MWS!

In short, such dialog only entices me to be more proficient in the use of MWS.

So, Göran...thank you for this!! Ja jatka hyvää työtä!!
