Default MIDI / X-TOUCH MINI help?

    HI everyone,

Giving the small Behringer X-TOUCH mini a try to control some functions in SAC.

    • I've installed the software that came with the device, checked to make sure the drivers were also installed. Re-started computer.
    • Put the unit into MC mode
    • I loaded up a MIDI template file (Mackie Baby HUI), chose the x-touch as the MIDI in and OUT device.
    • Activated MIDI IN/OUT in SAC menu.

I received the following error dialog:
"MIDI Device in Driver is Currently Not Available!"

I know this is my own user error but I'm stumped on next steps.
Curious if anyone has some tips.

    Thanks!

Not sure what might be blocking your midi port... but I'm pretty sure you will want to use the Mackie MCU Pro template for the X-Touch.

I also get that message when I plug in my XKey MIDI Keyboard because I've installed CopperLan. So I've to route the XKey within CopperLan to one of its virtual MIDI ports and use that port in SAW/MWS.
So maybe it's something similar in your case. Do you have any other MIDI software running?

    Thank you, Macay.

I don't think I have any other midi devices or programs accessing MIDI. I've tried this on two different windows machines and I get the same error. I'll have to re-read the manual again and triple check the steps.

I wonder if this is because the Behringer APP is running at the same time?

    I'll give that a try!

The behringer app should not be running you don't need it. The x-touch can only talk to one device/port/app at a time.
