    Default Use Plogue Bidule to translate Midi controler messages

    Hi group,

    it seems that Plogue Bidule is a very powerful and sophisticated program for audio and midi manipulation.

    http://www.plogue.com/index.php?opti...d=21&Itemid=35

    I'm quite new to it but it is getting very good reviews in other forums. I'm at the experimenting stage right now. It has advanced Midi translate/change functions. Thus it seems worth trying to convert Midi data of unsupported Midi controllers to work with SAWStudio.

    I can get Bidule to see input from the controller and also to see output from SS but I can't make anything out of the values. And it's not in Bidule's helpfile ;-)

    Question: How do I have to read this (SAWStudio Output 1 fader move top to bottom)?

    Tick BO ST D1 D2 CH Event
    00FC7000 000 B0 00 07 01 CC(0)
    ...
    00FC9000 001 B0 20 00 01 CC(32)

    If anyone could hint me on what BO, ST, D1, D2, CH and Event stand for. Then I could start to play around with the converters and see, which ones are working.

    Thanks for any help,

    Veit

    Veit;

    have a look at http://www.songstuff.com/articles.php?selected=55

    B0 = B: Control Change - 0: first channel
    ST = Status
    D1 = LSB
    D2 = MSB
    Ch = Channel

    etc

    cheers...Robert V.

    Hi Robert,

    thanks for the explanation and the link. Looks, like this will be a good start for more experimentation :-)

    Many thanks,

    Veit
