Thanks for the replies guys! I'm using a Fairlight Merlin (QDC), which they are no longer selling I believe.

Haven't bought SAW yet, but considering using the GFA to get it on payments. I was going to get Sequoia for sure, but now I'm looking into this as well.

Perhaps users who have migrated from Samp/Seq can tell me what they like better about SAW?

5sonic - Merlin, eh? Do you * own * this baby??? Yep - gone, gone, gone. Replaced by the Dream series which is targeted at high-end broadcast TV applications - comes with a big fat $$$ tag.

Others will chime in with comments about Samplitude etc, but you might be interested in having a quick squizz at this thread.

Yep, I do own it. Great machine, but it's mostly a recorder/editor. I need plugins and faders for mixing, now that I sold my Sony DMX console.
