Default Any comments about PCMCIA Digigram VX440 cards

    Hi!

I'm planning to get one of these, any comments working with SAWStudio and Sawpro?

    Regards

Not to diss any product, but be careful with these... the drivers have been consistently horrible to work with, and performance and stability have been extremely poor, at least in my past 12 year experience with teching and maintaing the SAW products.

Perhaps the problems only exist with the way I've coded SAW products, and maybe their performance is better with other DAWs.

Perhaps their newer stuff performs differently, but in my experience, usually products that have had a weak performance record, consistently stay that way.

I would definitely consider other laptop options.

I have seen many people with big problems usign digigram in other daws. It isnt you Bob

They're pretty much really expensive indigo's heh.

RME or a firewire/usb 2.0 solution is youre best bet.

Digigram cards have great analog specs, but probably won't perform to your liking with SAW. They are incapable of small buffer settings.

A question I've been meaning to ask Bob... and anyone else who cares... have you any experience with AudioScience cards?
